Why component-level repair matters
When a phone won't charge, the natural assumption is 'broken charging port.' Sometimes that's true. Often, the actual failure is on the logic board — a damaged charging IC (Tristar on older iPhones, Hydra or Tigris on newer models), a failed audio IC affecting power, or a hairline solder fracture. Most repair shops can't see that, so they swap the whole board (or send you back to Apple/manufacturer). We do the actual repair, often at a fraction of the cost.
Component-level repairs we perform
Micro-soldering. 0.4mm-spacing pads, components the size of a grain of rice. We have proper soldering stations, hot-air rework, microscopes, and the patience to do this work right.
BGA reball. Ball Grid Array chips — like the iPhone's audio IC or a laptop's GPU — fail through solder-joint fatigue. We reball BGAs to restore function without replacing the chip. A quick reflow, by contrast, is only a temporary measure — we use it almost exclusively to keep a device alive long enough to recover your data, never as a permanent repair.
Capacitor and resistor replacement. Liquid damage and surge events can damage individual capacitors. We identify and replace at the component level.
Charging IC, audio IC, and power-management IC replacement. The most common board-level failures we see on phones and laptops. We have the parts and the tooling.
No-power diagnosis. Devices that won't boot at all. We trace power rails, find the short or failed component, and repair.
