One badge, three very different kinds of phone
The Galaxy range covers more ground than any other single brand: budget A series handsets, S and Note flagships with curved AMOLED glass, and the folding Z Fold and Z Flip. They do not come apart the same way, and a technique that is fine on an A series will ruin a Fold.
Standard work is display assemblies, batteries, USB-C ports, rear camera glass and modules, S Pen problems and liquid damage. Curved panels need care coming out because the adhesive runs right to the edge, and under-display fingerprint readers are set up again once the new assembly is in.

The range

AMOLED display assemblies
Samsung panels are AMOLED, bonded to the cover glass, and on the curved models the glass wraps around the frame. A cracked AMOLED often keeps working for a while and then develops a spreading dark patch or a bright vertical line as the damage reaches the driver circuitry. Pink or green bands are the same story arriving later. Replacement is the full assembly, and on models with the reader under the panel that reader is calibrated afterwards.
Batteries
A Galaxy battery is expected to see out a day of ordinary use. When it stops doing that, or the phone shuts down with charge apparently still showing, the cell has lost capacity. Swelling is the other outcome, and on a Galaxy it shows as the display or the rear glass starting to lift at one edge.
USB-C ports
Lint compacts into the port until the plug will not seat, which is a cleaning job. Past that, contacts wear and pins bend, usually from a cable being leaned on while the phone charges in a pocket or a car. The port is replaceable on its own. It is not a reason to replace the board.
Z Fold and Z Flip
Folding phones add parts no other handset has: an inner panel with a crease, a protective layer over it that is not optional, and a hinge that dust and grit find their way into. Inner panels are expensive and delicate to fit, so we look at the device and set out the honest options before anything is ordered.
Cameras and the S Pen
Wide, ultrawide, telephoto and periscope modules each sit behind their own piece of cover glass, and cracked glass over a lens is its own repair rather than a module replacement. On the S Pen side, a stylus that will not write may be the pen, the pairing, or the digitizer layer, and those get separated on the bench.
Liquid damage and board work
A wet Galaxy is a corrosion problem that keeps going after the phone feels dry. Leave it off, leave it off the charger, and bring it in. We clean the board ultrasonically and deal with what the liquid attacked. Advanced repair work is performed in-house where applicable., which means a board with a dead charging circuit or no power at all gets examined here rather than posted somewhere else.
Data, accounts and after you collect
Transfers between Galaxy handsets or across to another platform, photo and contact recovery from a phone that will not start, Samsung account and reset problems, and connectivity faults. Phone and tablet diagnostic: $49, credited toward the repair when you approve it.
