Tell us what runs on the machine and what sits on the desk, and the spec works backwards from there. Parts are ordered once you approve the list, then the build is assembled and tested at our Elk Grove bench and set up with your screens and your files.
Encoding your own camera feed, decoding everyone else's, and blurring a background all land on the CPU, usually while a browser holding thirty tabs sits behind the call. Cores and memory get sized for that combination rather than for an idle desktop.
Panel count, resolution and refresh rate decide which outputs the machine needs and therefore the graphics and the board. Tell us the model of each monitor and we work out the ports, the cable versions and any adapter before you see a list.
Almost nothing in an office workload is graphics work. The waiting people complain about is a drive reading or memory filling up, so an NVMe SSD and enough RAM to hold your everyday applications change how the machine feels far more than a larger card does.
Most of the noise in a cheap desktop comes from small fans spinning hard, and thin steel panels pass the rest straight into the room. Larger coolers turning slowly, in a case with dampening, deal with both. Fan curves are set on the bench, not left at default.
