Custom Gaming PCs, Built in Elk Grove

Your gaming PC, specified one part at a time.

Gaming desktops are put together at our bench on Elk Grove Blvd, for customers here and across the Sacramento area. You get the full parts list on your quote and give the go-ahead before we buy anything. The same technicians fix gaming machines all week, which is where the part choices come from.

Why iGeek

Why people bring builds here

  1. 01

The full component list, in writing

Brand and model for the power supply, the memory kit, the drive and the board, put in front of you before you commit to anything.

  2. 02

The shop that builds it services it

It is assembled at our Elk Grove bench, and that is where it comes back if anything needs attention. Ask about our repair warranty; terms are printed on your repair ticket.

  3. 03

    We repair these machines too

Components that keep coming back to us with faults do not go into the machines we build. Part choices follow what holds up, not what photographs well.

  4. 04

    When it will be ready

Ask about turnaround when you check in; it depends on the repair and parts availability.

More about the shop itself is on the about page, and the diagnostic process covers how we work out what a machine needs.

Prebuilt comparison

Look past the chip and the card.

Two machines can advertise the same processor and the same graphics card and still be built very differently. Savings on a prebuilt tend to come out of the power supply, the memory layout and the drive, which is why those three rows are the ones to read.

Comparison of a store prebuilt and an iGeek build, row by row

Power supply
A named Corsair, Seasonic or EVGA unit, with its efficiency class written on your list
Memory
A matched kit in the correct slots, confirmed in BIOS before the machine leaves us
Storage
You get the maker, the model and the interface, not just a number of terabytes
Parts list
Each part named on the quote, and your approval comes before the purchase order
Software
A clean Windows install and the drivers it needs, with nothing else added
Assembly
Cables routed and tied so air moves and the next upgrade is not a fight
Service

Why the spec is written fresh

What sits behind a model number can change without notice.

Prices on memory and storage do not hold still, so a machine specified some months back was put together under different conditions than one ordered today. Manufacturers also revise what goes inside a product between production runs, which is how two boxes wearing matching labels end up holding different hardware. Your list is drawn against parts that are genuinely in stock when you order, and it reaches you with the quote before you approve anything.

Placing the order

From the first call to the finished tower.

  1. Tell us what you play and what you want to spend

Call (916) 627-1818, ask for a callback, or put a draft together in the builder and send it over. Three answers get us started: the games you play now, the monitor you play on, and where your budget stops.

  2. You see the list before we buy anything

Every component comes back to you by brand, model and price. Nothing is ordered until you tell us the list is right.

  3. Parts in, machine assembled

With the list approved we order, build, and run it under sustained load before it goes anywhere. Payment terms: Available. Call (916) 627-1818 for details.

  4. Collecting the finished build

You collect it from our Elk Grove shop when it is ready. Local delivery: Available. Call (916) 627-1818 for details. Ask about our repair warranty; terms are printed on your repair ticket.
