Terms and Conditions

By entering into a repair/service contract with iGeek Tech Repair, you agree to all sections of these Terms and Conditions. As the consumer, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the terms outlined below, that all information you provided is accurate, and that you have verified your customer information as recorded on your repair ticket. By signing this agreement, you approve and consent to the stated terms and conditions.


Lifetime Warranty Policy

All repairs provided by iGeek Tech Repair include a 30-day warranty by default, covering defects in parts and workmanship. Repairs explicitly labeled with “Lifetime Warranty” will extend coverage beyond 30 days.

Warranty Limitations

  1. There is no warranty or guarantee for repairs where:
    • Customers provide the parts.
    • A device arrives disassembled and cannot be fully tested prior to the repair.
  2. The warranty does not cover:
    • Damage caused by drops, cracks, or liquid exposure after the repair.
    • Devices showing signs of neglect, tampering, or improper care following the repair.
  3. If signs of neglect or tampering are identified during inspection, iGeek Tech Repair reserves the right to decline warranty repairs.

Pricing, Quotations, and Payments

  1. All pricing and quotations are approximate and subject to change.
  2. If additional work or parts are required beyond the initial quote, iGeek Tech Repair will seek your approval before proceeding.
  3. Diagnostic fees may be required to conduct further diagnosis to provide an accurate estimate. In such cases:
    • Diagnostic fees must be paid upfront.
    • Diagnostic fees are non-refundable, regardless of the repair outcome.
  4. Repairs will not be charged if the device’s fault cannot be resolved, with the exception of liquid damage diagnostics, which may also require a non-refundable fee.
  5. Payment may be required upfront or at the time of collection, at the discretion of iGeek Tech Repair.
  6. iGeek Tech Repair enforces a lien over devices in cases of non-payment. Devices left unpaid or unclaimed 30 days after the last update provided to the customer may be recycled, sold, or disposed of without fiscal compensation to the customer.
  7. Refunds for repair payments are only provided if the original service contract cannot be fulfilled under warranty.

Refund and Return Policy

  1. Refund Policy:
    • Refunds are only provided if iGeek Tech Repair is unable to fulfill the original service contract under the terms of the warranty.
    • Diagnostic fees and fees for completed repairs are non-refundable.
    • Refunds are not available for repairs where the customer has supplied parts or if the device arrives disassembled and cannot be tested prior to the repair.
  2. Return Policy:
    • Parts sold by iGeek Tech Repair are final sale and cannot be returned once installed or used.
    • Unused and unopened parts may be returned within 7 days of purchase, subject to a 15% restocking fee and approval by iGeek Tech Repair.
    • Devices repaired by iGeek Tech Repair are not eligible for return once the repair has been completed and accepted by the customer.

Parts

All parts used for repairs by iGeek Tech Repair may be:

  • Original
  • Aftermarket
  • Refurbished
  • Copies of original parts

Parts used in repairs with a “Lifetime Warranty” are covered for defects as outlined in the warranty policy.


Turnaround Time

All turnaround times are approximate and subject to change. Customers will be notified of significant delays in service, repair, or parts orders.


Customer Information Accuracy

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all information provided at the time of check-in is accurate.

  • Verification of Information: All customers will receive a repair ticket at the time of check-in and must review and verify the information before leaving the store.
  • Incorrect Information: iGeek Tech Repair is not responsible if the provided information is incorrect and prevents contact with the customer.
  • No Contact Policy: If iGeek Tech Repair cannot contact the customer and the device remains unclaimed 30 days after the last attempted contact, the device will be considered abandoned and may be recycled, sold, or disposed of without compensation to the customer.

Data Liability

iGeek Tech Repair understands that your data is valuable. While every precaution is taken to preserve data, you acknowledge the possibility of data loss. iGeek Tech Repair cannot be held liable for:

  • Data loss or software corruption
  • Any consequences resulting from data loss, including an unusable operating system

We strongly recommend backing up your data and removing your SIM card before submitting a device for repair.


Limitation of Liability

  1. iGeek Tech Repair is not liable for additional damage to your device unless the damage is proven to be caused by neglect during repair.
  2. In cases of neglect, iGeek Tech Repair will work with the customer to resolve the issue by:
    • Repairing the device
    • Offering a replacement device of similar value, if available
  3. Customers acknowledge and accept that repairs may void manufacturer warranties, and iGeek Tech Repair is not responsible for this.

Warranty Exceptions

Repairs are not covered under warranty if:

  • The device is dropped, cracked, or exposed to liquid after repair.
  • Signs of neglect or tampering are identified during inspection.

iGeek Tech Repair reserves the right to refuse warranty repairs if the above conditions are met.


Liquid Damage Repairs

  1. An upfront, non-refundable fee may be required for liquid damage diagnostics.
  2. Liquid damage repairs are not covered under the standard warranty.

Devices with No Power/Broken LCDs

iGeek Tech Repair cannot be held liable for untested functions that fail to work after repair if:

  1. The device had no power before the repair.
  2. Access to the device’s functions was not available.
  3. The LCD was broken and could not be tested.

Waterproof Devices

iGeek Tech Repair cannot guarantee that waterproof devices will retain their waterproof integrity after repair. Customers are advised to take precautions and acknowledge the risk of water exposure.


Collection and Payment

  1. Customers must collect their repaired device within 30 days of notification that the repair is complete.
  2. Devices not collected within this timeframe may incur additional fees and be subject to disposal, recycling, or sale as outlined in the lien enforcement policy.

Disclaimer and Contact Consent

By providing your contact information, you agree that iGeek Tech Repair may use it to communicate about your repair ticket via email and text. You may also receive promotions or updates, with the option to opt-out at any time.

Customers acknowledge that iGeek Tech Repair may inadvertently view private data during repairs. Any confidential information should be removed prior to repair. Passwords or patterns must be provided or disabled to facilitate the repair process.


Customer Acknowledgment

I, the undersigned, acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions outlined above. I confirm that all information I have provided is accurate. I understand that iGeek Tech Repair is not responsible for any issues arising from incorrect information, including the inability to contact me, which may result in the disposal of my device.
